What is IM Yoga?

At the core, yoga gives us the opportunity to relax. We breathe in. We breathe out. We stretch ourselves into the first position. We hold. We breathe in. We breathe out. We listen to the soft sounds of peaceful music caress our ears as we seemlessly shift into the second position. The instructor's calm voice permeates our class, guiding us through the motions. We breathe in. We breathe out. We shift to the next position, balancing gracefully on one foot and then the other. We clear our minds of the day's stresses and focus on now. We breathe in. We breathe out. We reach our final position and hold. We feel our muscles quiver as we focus, and everything else drifts away as we hold that position. We breathe in. We breathe out. "We've finished," says the instructor, and we are perfectly calm, perfectly relaxed and perfectly refreshed to jump back into our busy schedule. After yoga, you have optimized your mind as well as your body.
