Donald "DK" Kidwell Owner, CFIM
In 2012, Donald was 335lbs and on every medication you can imagine. This is when he decided it was time for a change. A friend of his introduced him to CrossFit while following a "typical" training regimen at a local gym.
He immediately fell in love with the community and the results he was seeing!
Donald says CrossFit changed his life for the better, mentally and physically. "The teamwork that is shared during a workout is unmatched with anything else you attempt in the fitness industry. Every day you walk into the box your peers hold you accountable for your efforts which is a great motivator"

Justin has a similar background to many people that start CrossFit. He played multiple sports growing up, and always enjoyed the camaraderie, competitiveness, and feelings of accomplishment they provided.
After high school he continued to exercise, the typical lifting and cardio sessions, but started to get burned out and not seeing the results he wanted. His girlfriend at the time, wife now , introduced him to CrossFit in 2009 after one of her friends bought her a month trial. She told him about her first day, and I was immediately interested. He was hooked after his first WOD, “mini Cindy”, and hasn’t looked back since.
Justin has had the opportunity to coach CrossFit at various gyms after receiving his L1 certification in 2010. Justin focused his doctoral research on the physiological and performance effects of CrossFit while completing his degree.
CrossFit has been a big part of Justin’s life since 2009. It has taught him a lot about himself, helped him achieve many goals, set new ones, and allowed him to meet some great people along the way. Justin is passionate and excited to help others achieve their goals.

Brooke tried every sport in middle school, but the passion wasn't there and she couldn't get into it. In high school, Brooke settled into volleyball, making the varsity team. But, after the season she was introduced to Crossfit and it immediately became her passion.
She began going to a box with the intention to become a better athlete, but months into it she realized she wanted to be doing what her coach was doing - coaching members and helping them realize their full potential and accomplish their goals.
She interned for 6 months and then earned her CrossFit Level 1 training cert. "The smiles on my athletes faces everyday brings me so much joy, and I've never been so passionate about anything in my life. I know I want to be helping people with their fitness goals - whether it's teaching classes or personal training - for as long as I possibly can."
Will started Crossfit in February 2012 after he determined he needed a change in his fitness. He and his wife had been doing P90X for about 9 months, but wanted more variation. Will played high school sports and spent several years working at a camp in the mountains of NC, which kept him in good shape, but once he started law school he really didn’t do much other than study.
Will saw Crossfit as an opportunity to get back into shape, and was particularly intrigued with the weightlifting. The more Olympic weightlifting he did, the more he enjoyed it.
Will focused on just weightlifting for about 2 years, read any article and watched every video he could get his hands on to improve his technique, as well as attending multiple seminars. Will loves CrossFit, but his passion is weightlifting.
Will's goal is to spread this passion with all of the athletes at CFIM, particularly younger athletes. He believes anyone who embraces weightlifting as part of their training will become a better athlete and person through hard work, discipline, and the joys of setting new personal records.

Erin grew up in the small town of Saint Matthews, SC. She played soccer in high school but riding horses has always been her passion. After finishing college, she moved away from horses and moved toward the more traditional workout regiment, elliptical, treadmill, and the occasional step or body pump class. She didn't find Crossfit until July of 2012. She was immediately hooked and received her CF L1 after only a year.
Erin has been coach with CFIM since 2013. Her passion is the barbell, and this is where she excels! Barbell work and strength work is her specialty and passion! Erin is also an SAGL athlete with the SC Titans where she shows her barbell skills on the GRID!
Kristy's CrossFit journey began at Richland 1 CrossFit for Deputies by Deputies January 2 2012. She did 1/2 Cindy and could not walk right for two days. She has been hooked since that day.

Jeremy has always played sports and have been very competitive so CrossFit naturally fits him very well. Jeremy grew up working on a farm before college so lifting heavy things was nothing new to him.
During high school he played football for the Union Yellow Jackets where he won state titles 3 out of 4 years. During college he played soccer for USC and the Club team.
Maile hasn't always been into fitness. She found herself in a place she decided she didn't want to be in- 186 lbs and moving into a size 16. She began her weight loss journey by learning how to portion her food and then joining a local gym to get active. After losing over 30 lbs, she realized she wanted more. Maile drank the CrossFit kool-aid 2.5 yrs ago and hasn't looked back.
Maile started CrossFit as a size 10 and is now a size 6 and 10 lbs heavier. "Gaining strength is addicting. Being strong really is sexy! Lose the scale because numbers don't matter anymore, it's all about how you look and feel in your body." Maile also co-owns Lexington's own Carolina Fitness Magazine.
